Tobias' love for the Himalayas began in 2011, when he visited Ladakh. Ever since he has completed numerous treks and expeditions in Nepal, India and Pakistan. Spending half of the year in Nepal, Kathmandu and the Himalayas have by now become his second home. Apart from hiking and climbing, his interest lies in the history and record-keeping of Himalayan ascents. He has been working for the Himalayan Database, the expedition archives of the late Elizabeth Hawley, since 2017.
